ASHA KANSAS CITY
Asha Kansas City was established in 2008 by a group of passionate volunteers who recognized the transformative power of education. This chapter is a close-knit group of dedicated individuals united by their shared mission.
Their goal is to raise awareness and support within the local community to fund grassroots educational initiatives in India. Through vibrant community events, they raise funds to support multiple education projects. Beyond financial contributions, members remain personally engaged with the projects in India throughout the year.
Since 2008, Asha Kansas City has distributed over $550,000 (as of 2023) to 15 projects in India. These projects focus on areas like rural education, girls’ education, vocational training, special education, and teacher training. The chapter collaborates with other Asha chapters to ensure the projects create a lasting impact.
